Thrifty Decor Chick

I could be this girl........as far as the thrifty decor part........but she looks a bit more crafty than me.

Thrifty Decor Chick is all over Halloween. So many great inexpensive ideas to get your home ready for the holidays.

These little cheese cloth ghosts are so cute! I love the original look, not something you see in the store. Plus, it's something you could do with children.

Hey, I have that copper bowl.........she must have a serious obsession with Southern Living at HOME or she sells it like I used to. :) We both have a lot of the same pieces. I knew she had good taste.

I love a black door too! This is so welcoming........don't you think? This is inspiring me to get my "welcome" decal up on the door soon, and I must get my pumpkin topiaries out soon.

This is very autumny looking too. She shows a tutorial on the lamp shade. Say it loud.."WE LOVE TUTORIALS!"I think this is my favorite furniture re-purpose. What a dramatic change and oh so original!

Can you believe it? Love it! And I almost used those same handles on my newly painted black armoire. Wait.........can you see them? Fake topiaries! I LOVE A FAKE TOPIARIE!While she had the black paint out, why not spruce up this island? Pretty unbelievable isn't it? And it didn't cost an arm and a leg. See the moulding? She's a little nuts about adding moulding...........but I think she's on to something.BEFORE...........I have those candle sticks.

And after.........I still have those candle sticks, but WOW! What a dramatic difference the moulding makes. This bathroom looks pretty nice doesn't it?

Well she didn't think so. It looks so much better with a bit of moulding added on the wall and around the tub...........and of course a fake topiarie!

She proves that she has the patience of a saint. She did this for her step daughters room. No amount of chocolate would get me to do this.

And she may have something on the Nester. She has several tutorials on quick and easy window treatments. This one only cost her about $2.

If you're trying to get your house ready for Fall, then click fast.........after you leave me some love.......to go see what she's up too. While you're there.......be a very good TCB reader and leave her some love.

You are the BEST! Thanks so much for highlighting my blog! And you are yet another sister from another mother I have found in blogland -- I used to sell SLAH! ;) AND I got fired for selling some of my extras on Ebay! Ha! Can you believe it? I was done anyway, but it was my one and only firing of my life. It still makes me laugh.

I have a similar tub treatment that is a snoonzer - but LOVE the new look with the moulding.

Off to check out her site and see if she has any ideas for placing moulding around standard bathroom mirrors.

If you get a chance, please stop by my blog. I am hosting a great give-away, again, with Matthew Mead. It involves his latest book, and a gift card from HomeGoods...except this time there are, basically, thirty prizes!!

Have a great week!
