It's a beautiful drive into the country through Clark County. I arrive, still with wet hair and week knees, I almost fell out of my car bounding towards Jermonne to tell him that I was SO excited to be there. I'm sure he thought I was some stalker soccer mom who doesn't get out much...........hmmm, he was right on the money. This weekend sale was much smaller than the flea market they had a couple of weekends ago..........I was out of town and so disappointed that I missed it. It looks like the event of the Summer for parts around here. There were still many many treasures and so many delightful items to catch your eye. I loved the paint brush mobile umbrella thingy they had....you can barely make it out in the photo below......I'm thinking my husband would not go for this type of garden art.........but I may try anyway.
The hosts, Jermonne and Joe are as charming as they seem on their blog. Cute, funny and warm. You can tell they really enjoy their new found business/hobby. They don't know it, but this stalker soccer mom will be making the drive whenever I can for all of their sales.
I went with the hopes of finding some old large shutters.........for that stupid TV hole above my fireplace.......yes it's still bugging me. There we no shutters, but I did buy a black bench. I have it on my deck for now..........but you know it may look kind of nice with Katherine and her black toile if I place two of her chairs on one side and the bench on the other. I also bought a little nest.........well actually they ended up giving it to me free. I love them! There were all things vintage.......even dolls, clothing and old shoes........that's where I just can't look. The dolls and old shoes creep me out........but I know that so many people can see the beauty. I'm just not there yet.I just can't believe that I found this wonderful little gem right in my back yard! If you live in the Portland, Vancouver, Camas area........you must go. And if you don't live in the area, then you must at least visit their blog for inspiration.Thank you Barn House! I'll be back!
pssst.....don't forget about the giveaway. Just scroll down.

How exciting to find something so special close to home. We just don't seem to have these wonderful places here in Australia or if we do I don't know where they are

I LOVE little out of the way places like that! It feels like I'm shopping in the pages of Country Living :)! But I'm with you on the old dolls and shoes ***shudder*** -- a little too horror-flickish :)!
Thanks for giving us some great photos to look at though!~

Wow, what a shop! That site has such beautiful photographs and great merchandising. It is obvious they have an eye for detail.

That place looks amazing. I want to go there so bad...but I'd spend way too much money there, and at all the little shops between my home and yours!
thanks to your blog I now know about The Barn House. I live in NW Portland. My 15 year old and her friend got up early Saturday morning with me and we headed north to Battleground to go to the sale Barn House had this weekend. We found some fun treasures for my daughter's room - check out my family blog if you want to see what we got!
