The Feathered Nest

The Feathered Nest
What? I already featured her? That's what I thought...........but this is a different Feathered Nest on Typepad...........not blogger. You can never get enough of a good thing. Bring on the feathers! Oooooh, the imagine of a big fluffy bed just popped in my mind........I can't wait til bedtime.

Manuela is the occupant of this Feathered Nest. And boy does she have some great ideas. Her site is beautifully designed with so many resources for anyone who loves to decorate, get their craft on..........or just plain dream. She seems just as sweet as her site looks.
Just in case you haven't heard how much I love before and afters.........here's a cute table. And now it's even cuter!

I didn't venture too far off the first page before I filled up with photos. I can't wait to go back and dig around her archives. She has those ideas that really make your home unique. Look at these planters. I've been wanting to do this with numbers. You could use these for so many things. And this next photo makes me sad that I have carpet on my stairs, or I would SO be doing this. This just screams style, don't you think? And taking the chalk board paint to another dish.........Like Mrs. Jones a past feature who did charger plates............I also like this idea in keeping just a hint of the dish showing. Great idea. Chicken Fingers.........what time is dinner? She paints just about anything. Painted tables, dishes, stairs..........I love this lady.

And look at her darling living room? Slip covered furniture always wins with me.

Now I have seen plates used for walls..........like above..........I have seen plates used for Mosaic projects, I have seen plates used for making garden art..........but as a garden border? Darling! But she obviously doesn't have an 8yr old boy running through her yard. I'm so glad I found her. Don't get her mixed up with the other nest...........although that's a pretty soft and pretty nest too.

Go find something to delight your senses. Enjoy!

I think I've seen her name floating around--and now I know who and what's behind it! Painted stair risers, red toille, cute painted side table---I need a bigger house! I agree about the garden plate border though, that would not hold up well to a soccer ball :)!
Great choice!

And as a side note, if you're ever looking for a new blog to feature (or to put in the line up to feature!), I nominate my friend Emily. She's just all-around creative. Always doing little projects to entertain her boys, cooking, knitting, painting---and her blog layout is unlike any I've ever seen. You should take a look www.loriafamilydialogues.blogspot
