Grover

Vanessa............Grover...........whatever she goes as, she rocks with her layouts!
I actually completed a layout his last week. It's nothing like Grover's, but her's are so inspirational, they get me going in the right direction. I'm ready to complete another. Or was it the british soccer coaches today at my son's camp that were so inspirational. :) Those accents........Love them............Back to Grover. Must keep my mind on scrappin, must keep my mind on scrappin, must keep my mind on scrappin I think this one above is one of my favorites. I love a white background, and then all those colors! Perfect. The the one below? I'm such a sucker for squares lined up. What a great layout to remember your garden. Anything on a transparecy gets my vote. I love how she photographes her work too. Looks so professional. Well she is on a few design teams and she has been published a few places. I'll let her go her site to see.
Great clip board. I'm not sure if it's just the clipboard I love or the way it's displayed with the wedding photo. The whole feeling here is just what I love looking at.
She must have one of those fancy pants camera's I've been begging my husband for. Then I could take photos of the dimension of my layouts too.............oh wait............my don't have dimesion. But I still need one of those cameras.

Head over to Grover's place and see all her scrap treasures. Don't forget to tell her I sent you. :)

Melissa - The Garden of Pink Shadows!

Melissa from The Garden of Pink Shadows has some truly amazing stuff. I know........I say that all the time, but when I feature someone, it's someone that made me gasp a little while surfing. This gal made me choke on my margarita...........that's a good thing, a compliment.........well it's not a good thing if I kept choking, but it means her stuff took my breath away............even if was for only a moment.

She grew up in New York surrounded by a family of artists.
No wonder she's so daring in her creativity. Sit back, take a sip of something cool and enjoy.I found this cute little acorn in her etsy photos. Cute! Now creative!
Love how she mixes it all up.
This is from her daily journal! DAILY JOURNAL!

Vintage wallpaper...........you can find it in her etsy shop

You can see more from Melissa HERE
Hope your having a great weekend.......and as you can see, I learned to link using just the word........Yea ME! I owe it all to you guys who emailed me. Thank you.

I'm trying

Thanks so much for all the advice. I hope it's working. I am trying Heather's name as a link and it SHOULD go to her site. Let's see.

Heather

did it work?
If it worked, I say let's have cake!

Greenie Gardens

http://greeniegardens.blogspot.com/

Greenie is Heather's Mother.................Heather from Splaneyo.............I featured her a few days ago and if I would take the time to learn or if someone would email me and tell me how to do those links just from the word..........know what I mean? So you could just click on the word Heather and it would take you there.........yes, someone tell me how to do it.

Anyhoooo..........Greenie is Heathers Mom. This explains alot. No wonder Heather is so dang crafty and talented.

I'm trying to figure out if Greenie's specialty is quilts or gardening??? She is amazing with both. Her gardens are not just a plant here and a plant there. It's the Las Vegas of gardening.........not as in dry.........but over the top, amazing, stunning. She recently moved from her California home back to Michigan to be near her crafty daughter.........where they are making updates to their new (old) Michigan home. I love seeing before and afters! LOVE THEM.Love this kitchen..........love it! I would love to have a large work table in the middle of my kitchen. This house is stunning. I love all the old charm. She has all the perfect antiques to fill this baby up. She even has a statue of a naked woman...........that's a sign that she is with it, hip, full of energy and a true artist.

Are you ready? More quilts.............and she did these by hand stitching. This lavendar one below has my heart. Beautiful. This is such a lost art. I know quilting is making a comeback........but I think it takes a while for the true artist quilts, like this one........that's my professional opinon anyway. :)This photo of her husband holding his birthday quilt is darling.

My birthday is September 3rd. :)

Living Out Loud!

Don't you love how I go from decorating to scrapbooking?

AND.......I have been tagged...........I'll get to it I promise. I am also going to start responding in the comment section. That way I don't feel like I am ignoring the people who don't have a blog for me to comment on.

Living Out Loud
....because I haven't learned how to keep my mouth shut....

http://tamscrazyworld.blogspot.com/
With a title like that, you know you're going to have fun.

This girl is sassy! And you KNOW I love a sassy woman. I think her name is Tam...........I was too focused on the work to be bothered by looking for her name. (not that it's not important)

This girl is the QUEEN of mini -books / albums. She has inspired me to do more of these. Very creative.........yes she is.

Love her style. Her zest for life and sense of humor is really reflected in her work. She must work fast, because she seems to get more work done in a day, than I do in a year!
Love how she can doodle so easily.

Mini Albums aren't the only thing she does. She alters too. She even has an Etsy Shop with some cute little paper goodies. I'll let you search her site.....so many fun things to see.

Kelly McCaleb

Kelly is like a breath of fresh air. http://kellymccaleb.typepad.com/
She's just so happy. I find her passion for living, passion for family and passion for using her talent for the betterment of her family inspiring. (I've used the word betterment while talking, but I've never written it..........it looks funny......maybe it's spelled differently)

She has some rockin layouts. I am starting to get motivated to scrap again. It's been since May. Love this turquoise one.

Could these little pieces of art be any cuter?

And a soft book! Darling. There's that patience thing again.

And these............come on!!! These are so sweet, I'm sure they taste like cotton candy.

I am SO into the colors of this little quilt. Is there anything this girl can't do? I've noticed a few blogs I have featured lately are of these "super duper plekto power crafty" (SDPPC) women. So, if you are a one or two dimensional craft girl like myself, I hope I'm not discouraging you. We one or two dimensional woman rock too! I am just always sitting here with my jaw dropped when I come across the SDPPC woman.
Love this bag. Anything with birds. Love
Another great layout. Simple, great design, texture..........all the things I love.

I noticed that Kelly also has a Etsy shop. I love knowing that her Etsy stuff goes right into allowing her to stay home. It also looks like Kelly does some photography. Talented.......sheesh!

http://kellymccaleb.typepad.com/

check back a bit later

Ok, I'm home. I will be posting a blog later this afternoon. Our trip was FULL. I'm trying to get back in the swing of things today...........you know how it is.
You can read about our trip on my personal blog. The link is somewhere by my photo.

Fossil beds

Just a quick post to let you know I will be digging for fossils this weekend and attending one of the biggest demolition derby's in Oregon this weekend. How's that for creative fun? It's called loving and spoiling your 8yr old son. So needless to day.........no posts for Friday, Saturday and maybe Sunday.

Anina with Twiddle Tails!

http://twiddletails.blogspot.com/

I am brand spankin new to her blog. But I know it's a feature when I jump out of my seat when I see something. Her post today grabbed me!

This little gem she found, this old B&H and Gardens decorating advice is priceless. And it's so true, in words you can really relate to.

Anina seems to be another one of those ultra crafty girls. Seems? I mean she IS.

She does stuff like this.............

Where do people get the patience for such stuff? I wish I had it, but I don't.........so that means I don't have THAT. Did you follow me?

And she sews. I really need to pull my mom's sewing machine out of the garage and start trying to learn.

Is that her stuff in that magazine article? I must go back to her blog and read more.

And she bakes!

And if all that doesn't tip the crafty scale all the way to the left............she also does this........see below.

Amazing isn't it?

Then to shake things up a bit, she seems to enjoy personalized plates and takes photos of all that she sees.

I realized she is only a few hours from me. I don't know why that's so exciting when your a blogger.........seeing that someone is from your area. It was fun seeing photos of places near my home.

Go check her out.

Sarah with The Misadventures of Mama and Jack

http://mamanjackjack.blogspot.com/

Have you been to The Misadventures of Mama and Jack? I love that name! Sarah's blog has that simple, pure and clean feel to it. I have really enjoyed reading through the archives and watching Jack grow up. Such a darling little guy with his red hair and cute cheeks.
In her spare time Sarah crafts. She thrifts. Sarah is a true queen of flea markets, yardsales, etc..... I thought I was pretty good, but she is way more dedicated than me. Look at the sweet dresser down below.......... She found that! The post that goes with this photo, she breaks down what everything costs and where she got it. Well........you know I loved that. I'm tellin ya.........us thrifty gals wear the bargain prices like a badge!I get the idea that Sarah is pretty organized. She has made this little book to keep her ideas in. What a great idea. I really should do that. I saw this lamp idea on TreeFall......she's an earlier feature.........But Sarah takes it one step further. She gives us a tutorial. I can't wait to try this. Another project to add to my list.I should have paid attention in my home ec. class in 8th grade. That is the last time I actually sewed. Dang, dang, dang! I would be a storm of creativity if I also could create magic with fabric.........Look at these cute wreaths? I don't know about you, but I have never seen anything like that before. How cute would that be hanging on a door or wall?
And these cute little flower things below with the buttons? I really really like these. I would love to put them in a shadow box and hang them.
And this sweet wreath. So so cute. You could use that all year round in a shabby chic room, or for multiple holidays. I'm getting all kinds of ideas and I have LOTS of buttons. Watch out!

Sarah's blog is another fun and easy read. You feel very comfortable with her. She's funny, cute and shares Jack with us.
Can't wait to see more Sarah!

Susie Sews!!!

http://suziesews.blogspot.com/

Susie is a craft-o-maniac!
She says she sews..........at least that's what her site name is, but reading her blog, you soon find out that she bakes, knits, paper arts, AND sews. She is always up to something crafty.
What I find most charming about Susie, is her dedication to her children. She invloves them on a daily basis in the world of CRAFT!
Such a cute bag with a vintage personality. She made it..........yep she did.

She sits down for tea everyday.........being from the UK and all. She sat this darling knitted cupcake out to get a reaction from her son. We Americans should pick up this tea habit, or at least the cookie part. (wait, I think I have that part down) Look how pretty that is. I have a girlfriend who was crazy about going to tea. We even had tea at the Empress. Going to tea with me is like having a bull in a china shop, so when she ended up spitting out one of the sandwiches........I didn't feel so clumsy.

See?.............that is some serious kid art. She should be a children's art teacher.
Below are some party bags she whipped up for her son's "farm" theme birthday party. How cute is that? And she is worried about "working" mom's thinking she is simple? Is she crazy?

Oh, did I mention she does quilting too? ........................I know, I know......when does she sleep? This quilt was made in memory of her cousin. I can see this quilt being in her family for years and years to come. It's beautiful.

Why don't I ever think to do cute things with frosting? By the time I get the cupcakes baked, I'm lucky to just get the frosting smeared across the top...........who am I kidding? I don't even make it to the cupcake stage. I usually just end up making a sheet cake.........from a mix. :)

She loves animals! Cute little animals. She even has real ones that she shares with her readers.

These buttons she made are so dang cute. What a great idea. Love that vintage look.

There you have it, a small glimpse of Susie Sews.
