Karen Russell

http://karenrussell.typepad.com I don't think this girl knows how talented she really is.
I have been a reader of her blog for awhile. She is quite humble. You would never know that she has her own line of scrap goods, or that she designs for FontWorks and don't forget ScrapBook Pictures. I had been using her narratives at www.Scrapbookpictures.com for a long time before I even knew she designed them. In fact, I used one of her designs for my Christmas photo. She just plain ROCKS. I know that's Donna Downey's word, but I'm borrowing it for Karen.
Her scrap style is so so so amazing. I love the vintage look, and of course the overlays.
Karen is so candid about what she's feeling. She tells it like it is. I love that about her blog. She shares her struggles and her great days. She shares the best photography advice. I am such a novice and she really makes sense to me. She doesn't claim to be a professional, and maybe that's why I can understand what she's talking about. It's like I'm sitting across the kitchen table from her while she's explaining. So when I get my fancy pants camera some day, I will be ahead of the game.
Kits.........yes she sells kits. Is there anything this girl doesn't do? Oh..........she doesn't make soap. But her best friend Jill does. Remember her? I featured her awhile back....look for her on the side link.
Karen also tells her story of breaking into the Scrapbook industry. Fasinating. I think she should be on Oprah. I really do.
The exciting thing is that Karen lives in Oregon............close to me...........well about 5 hours away. (I'm across the river from Portland) I might actually get to meet her some day.

Cool Kim!! Love me some Karen Russell, but you already know that. :)

Hey, when I click on that other cool chick Jill Radley, on the sidebar it's not working. :)

Seriously, I love this idea for a blog, I always look forward to checking it out.

OK, when I read your profile I realized we couldn't have been separated at birth. I am the worst person in the world when it comes to the fitness department! :) But I WANT to be better, does that count? ;)
