DIY Citronella Candles

Let’s just get something straight……..I am never ever going to make these metal flowers……ever.  imageBut that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate them and want them.   You see……..I’m a lazy crafter.  If it remotely looks complicated…….forget about it.  But I am so thankful there are people like Amy who post beautiful crafty goodness on my Get Your Craft On……people like Amy that spend time creating things that make us go WOW!

Positively Splendid has some of the BEST organized tutorials EVER!  She'll take care of you.image  With summer right around the corner………..yea yea…….I know it’s here for many of you.  We actually got up to 72 today!  This is the first year in like 45 yrs that we haven’t hit 80 by now.  We need some SUN!  And when the warm evenings get here…….when I’m sitting out on my deck, then I’m going to be burning my new candles I plan on making. image If it’s got a number on it, then I love it!   This looks like a fun project and not too complicated….much easier than those metal flowers.  image Now we're talking…….these flowers I can make!  And these would be PERFECT for outdoor dining.

image I love how her tutorials have captions with the photos.  image

More numbers……Great idea.  Original too.  Clearly she’s an overachiever…….because one pot just wouldn’t do.  :)image And of course……….she sews.  Not only can she sew, but she can sew really really cute things on really really cute girls.  Can I just tell you how much better I feel seeing those cute little waded up socks and toys on the floor?  See…….maybe she is human. (not the baby, yes, I know she’s human…..Amy…..super crafty mom)image

Another blog to add to your readers.

Positively Splendid is one of my most favorite recent finds. I can't get enough of her cute stuff...and the layout for the tutorials? Seriously? Who does that?

Plus, I really wanted a reason to try out the frosty spray paint...I just couldn't come up with a good one. Till I saw this. Good feature! No, great feature.
(and the sock thing.....hilarious!)
