P&G Thank you Mom!

Some of us are lucky enough to live near our mother.  Maybe she’s in your neighborhood……able to help with the kids at a  moments notice? My mom is a little over an hour away, so if I REALLY need help, I know I can count on her.  My sis however is in Utah and gets SO excited when Mom visits.  Her laundry gets done, dinner is ready when everyone returns from their day.  She really spoils them.  image

But many of you, like my sis are separated from mom by miles or hours.  Wouldn’t you like to see your mama?  Well listen up girlfriends.

Beginning on Thursday, May 6, in celebration of Mother's Day, you are invited to log onto www.thankyoumom.com and enter to win a Gift Card to help cover the cost of a special reunion with their mom or mom figure in their life.

Approximately 15 winners will be chosen every month through the Thanksgiving holiday.

Winners will receive $1000 gift card and a flip camera to capture their reunion.

All you have to do to enter is write a 100 word essay about your mama.

That should be easy enough, right?  Wouldn’t it be great to win this?  Oh think of the fun!  Maybe you two could plan a spa day before she spends the evening with the kids so you and the hubs can have a date night?  It’s a win win situation!

Winner videos will be shared on the website so we can all watch those reunions.  I don’t know about you, but I bawl like a baby at stuff like this….I don’t have to know the people…..I love touching stories.

Starting in June watch the website for updates and you will be able to vote for your favorite entry at the end of each month through November.  Have tissue ready.

Tell me, how far away do you live from your mama?

We recently moved and I now live 5 hours from mom. Miss her for many reasons, one being the free babysitting for those important (waxing, pedicure, hair cut) appointments:)

My mother lives in TX, I live in NC, but she visits for a couple of months at a time at least once a year. You're right - my laundry is always done/folded and actually put away! She's visiting now and is helping to housebreak the puppy! WooWhoo! And whenever anything breaks at the house I can tell the repairman "go on to the house, someone is there to let you in." She keeps a running grocery list for me. It's fabulous.

I live several thousand miles from Mom and she lives in assisted living and is quite lonely. I would love to visit...I just need to find a moment when my kids don't need me. Thanks for the heads up!

I live several states away from my mom and while I've gotten used to it, it was a hard adjustment. While I knew moving was good and right for her, it was hard for me since she wasn't able to be there for all the casual drop in things as my son grew up. We see her a couple of times a year but I miss being able to just go to lunch or drop in on her or she on me. I know she misses these things too but I also know that she's really happy where she is and that's what matters most.

My mother lives nearby, but I would love to have my grandmother be able to come and visit. Although she only lives 200 miles from us, with her health a gift certificate like this would be a great way to pay for a comfortable trip for her.

My mom lives 30 minutes away, but I spend 3-1/2 days with her. It started last year when she went thru chemo. Now it's just fun to spend time with her and, luckily, my work allows me to spend time with her.

We laugh a lot, sometimes do absolutely nothing and just enjoy each other's company. It's great fun.

I am five minutes from my Mom. And I am so happy. I use to live 750 miles from her. That, was horrible. But now...we are so close. And it makes it nice fore my daughters!
