The Story of a princess and her hair…….

OK, Thank God I only have a boy……..I couldn’t do these styles if my life depended on it.

The Story of a Princess and her Hair

This mom has taken her daughters hair and made a blog about little girl hair styles.  You gotta have talent to work your fingers like this…….Amazing little Do’s.   Very creative.DSCF2034I would LOVE to wear my hair like this now……..DSCN4037Not sure if it would be a hit in the suburbs, I may have to head to the Hawthorne district in Portland……my old stomping grounds.  I’d fit right in.

This little girl has it made……why couldn’t my mom have done this.  My mom was in the hair biz………..well I guess she still is.  She wasn’t called a stylist like now……this was back in the days when they were called “Operators”. She still works with my aunt in her wig shop selling wigs to mostly drag queens…….But I can bet you she is not creating these cute styles.  When I was little……I always had a pixie.  She assured me it was cute.  This is coming from a woman who dyed her hair baby pink for the strawberry festival.  Imagine a baby pink bouffant do and she wasn’t even in Portland.  DSCN2038

Those rings above are so original.  I’ve never seen anything like it.  Amazing.

Look at all those braids below!  How long is this taking her?  What is she bribing her daughter talking about all this time with her daughter?  I wonder how many times she tells her SIT STILL! I love your hair sweetie.DSCN3097

Sewing……..UGH…..you can’t even get away from it with hair styles.  Stop it already.DSCN2573  well……it is pretty amazing though isn’t it?  DSCN2575

I think this is one of my favs too.  Love a little twisty bun.

DSCN2865 This one is cute too….but it kind of makes my scalp hurt.

This mom is truly talented and oh so creative with hair.  I have to wonder what would happen if this little princess were to ever experiment with a pair of scissors.  Sorry……….I just couldn’t help it.

So if you have a little girl with long hair………this blog is for you.  I had another hair blog in my FFF(future feature file) but she has her photos protected and I couldn’t steal them……otherwise I would have included her too….darn.

Natalie is sponsoring this post……more iced tea for me!  Thanks Natalie!

I love that hair blog - and the other ones. My daughter and I always look through on Sunday's and pick her church-hair-do together. But mine never look as perfect as hers!

i've seen this blog and have always wondered HOW IN THE WORLD DOES SHE GET HER DAUGHTER TO SIT STILL THAT LONG?

sorry for screaming that, but really, I'm so proud if I got my DD to let me run a brush over her hair as we are standing in the church parking lot about to go in...seriously, that's a good day...

I don't know how long I've been reading your blog - at least 9 months, and I just found out you are in Portland!! I just moved from Portland, like 2 months ago! Love the hair, and at 27 I'm so going to be sporting this, in Portland or not!

I'm thinking she's not bribing her, she's sedating the kid! And not intending to be tacky here, that little girl is going to have a seriously receding hairline by 16 if she continues to pull it that tightly...she looks really surprised!

I'm being snarky as there is no way I could spend that much time doing my daughters' hair (the oldest one wouldn't have let me anyway) and I believe after you do it long enough, you get pretty fast at it but still....I don't spend that much time on my own hair!

Just when I thought I knew everything about you I find out about your mom and her drag queen clients. My daughter and I fight plenty about her hair, so this would never do for me. LOL at the other comments.

WHAT? I am a "stylist" and never have I ever seen most of those hairdos. She is seriously talented, and that little girl is very patient. I'm lucky to get a brush through my 2 boys hair.

Wow, those hairdos are amazing! Next time one of my boys complains that I'm taking too long to comb their hair, I'm going to show them these photos. ;)

All I can say is WOW! That is amazing. I wish my daughter would sit still long enough for me to try these styles.
