Singleton in the Kitchen

In my Zicam induced stupor I am craving some serious chicken soup.
There I go again being dramatic...........I haven't even had to blow my nose yet, but I can feel it coming.......I must get ahead of it.......I have 3 classes to teach tomorrow.............. So where do I head? Not to the kitchen, but to blog world. I didn't find a soup recipe, but I did find Singleton in the Kitchen.
Love her site design and why wouldn't I?.............it's designed by Shannon with Eight Crazy........one of my past features.

This gal is a transplant from Texas and we all know Texas girls can cook! Right? I really wouldn't know, but if you have a southern accent.........I'm sure you can cook better than me. And don't tell me you Texans don't have an accent, because to us bland NW talkers..........you have one, trust me.

I think what really got me is all the muffin looking goodies on her site.
I want one of these fruity ones RIGHT NOW!

And THESE! Don't they look amazing?I'm not even a pepper kind of girl, but these almost have me thinking I would try one .......with lots of butter of course.

We can always use ideas for dinner, right? Because we all know how much we love to cook dinner! It's our favorite time of day, especially if we have children who need help with their homework, or little ones who like to draw on walls......
How about some Sweet and Sour Pork? Mmmmmmm
How about some cookies? These look professional. I bet she just warmed them up and made it look like she baked them...........not a bad idea.......and I'm not ashamed to say that I would totally do that.

I could use one of those with my hot tea. Cuz I'm sick you know...........well almost.

Hello from a Texas girl!!!!!!!!!!
The food does look fabulous!
So chicken soup!!!
One super great way especially when you aren't feeling good..Hop on over to the grocery store and buy a rotisserie chicken (if you're up for picking the meat off the bone) or just some marinated chicken breast (raw or precooked) put the cooked chicken in a stock pot with a can of chicken broth, some baby carrots and celery (and diced onion if you like)bring it to a boil and add the noodles in. Cook for 10 minutes while boiling and ta da Super yummy, make you better before you get sick meal!!!! My boyfriend couldn't believe I made it from "scratch" that last time he was sick!!!
Get well asap!!!

Texas girls do definitely have a reputation for being some good cookers. At least that's what my husband says. I do think I need to steal some of her ideas though. Thanks so much for finding her for us.

Another TX cook here...and yes I am a good "cooker"...that's what my little boy used to say. Well, that's what my big boy used to say when he was little. Big difference!
What you need is some EmergenC! It will help!
I wish I could send over a good cup of soup for you! Take care

Well, Kim, the laundry will just have to wait. I'm clearing my morning schedule to visit all your recent fabulous features. I love the variety and hope to make it to each one today. Thanks for the inspiration!

I hope you are feeling better. We've been fancy at my blog all week revisiting my daughter's Fancy Nancy birthday party. So I would suggest getting into your most comfy boa and tiara and getting some rest.

Thanks so much for the shout out. I do have a little Texas 'twang but it's pretty mild compared to some of them! Thanks again for featuring me on your blog. I still can't believe it, little 'ole me. :)
