At Home Redesigns

Hey! I see the number on the sitemeter keeps going up, which means.....even with "pseudo-Kim" doing the posting-- you're still reading! Yay!!!

I have to tell you though, this has been harder than I thought! Seems that everyone I have wanted to introduce you to has already been featured! Then, the answer came to me in the form of a commenter on my own blog. A NEW girl! She's probably already in Kim's FFF (future feature file), but I'm going to claim her first!

Everyone, say hello to Mary Harrington of At Home Redesigns. Mary, this is everyone. (hand shaking and smiles exchanged.)

You can just tell she's going to be cheery, because this is her house:

Mean people do not live in yellow houses :)!

Mary is a re-designer, which means she'll take all the mish-mash you have sitting around your place and make it suddenly look be-au-tee-ful whilst you still have a fat wad of cash in your pocket from not having to buy all new stuff. Huzzah! She was also a web writer and editor before starting her own business, so you'll be in for a good read along with your eye candy.

This blog has before and after pictures. Ooooooh! I loves me some before and afters! It's like getting to read the last page of a really great book before you've even started it. Look at what she did for a client's living room:

That' s some good re-designing Miss Mary!

She also shows you how to squeeze more than one use out of a room:

Dining room + library= getting smart while you eat!........

A cozy little spot in your kitchen for your friends to sit and not help you do the dishes after dinner!....

She also gives good furniture makeovers. Lookie!:

Who knew that affixing dead sea creatures to a cabinet would make it look sooo cute?!

And she's a woman after my own heart hitting boring stuff with a can of orange spray paint:

Everything looks fresh and modern painted orange!

Other great things on Mary's blog: *good advice on painting (where do you stop the paint?---she'll tell you!) *how to navigate an antiques show and *her "I love these ideas" Sundays where she features photos and tips from her readers. I'm an interior designer myself, and even I learned a few new tricks reading Mary's blog!

Like I said before, At Home Redesigns is fairly new to the blogging world, so get to know her now before you're just one of eleventeen daily commenters :)! Go give her some love and don't forget to tell her TCB sent you!

I've got one more post up my sleeve for Friday---and then I promise I'll let Kim out of my basement and give her her blog back :)! See ya then!
