I just had to mention...........

Sweet Julie who lives in a converted barn....over at Equus Villa is having a contest that pays $100! I know so many of you have the talent she needs. Perfect contest for that person who is just dabbling in design, maybe a stay at home mom who would really appreciate a crisp $100 to go antiquing with, or grab a massage.......or head to lunch with all her favorite girlfriends and I suppose some of you may even want to go out on a date with your husband.
I also want to apologise for not being able to get around to all of your comments. I was chatting with a friend of mine about all the blogs she loves and she mentioned that she doesn't visit one blog anymore because she had asked a question a couple of times and didn't get an answer. She is not easily offended, but that got me thinking. I hope none of you feel ignored. I try to make it around, but it's hard. That certainly doesn't mean I don't appreciate your feedback, comments, tags........Dang it, I know I was tagged last week or so. I'm sorry. But I'm sure I've done that tag before. Am I off the hook?
I have received a few questions about the blinkies.
The Robin's Egg blue blinkie is for anyone who has been featured. Shawn designed the blinkie for me a few months ago, so there are a few earlier featured bloggers who don't have it on their site........I know typepad is difficult to get it posted........If you have been featured, but don't have it, contact me. I'll get you the code.
Then there's this beauty. Everyone and Anyone can have this!!! I love this one! It's stylish, cute, happy..........I think everyone should have one of these. In fact, all you have to do is copy the code on my left side bar and post it on yours. I know with Blogger, you add it as HTML/Java. Typepad.........ahhhhh, something about a widget.

In the future, I may start commenting in the comment section in response to your comment......so if you need feedback from me, look there.

Hey Kim!
It's a challenge keeping up with the comments -- I'm with you! Some days I spend two hours or more responding to e-mail from my blog. It sure can get overwhelming!

I have to say, though, that I have stopped visiting several blogs where my comments/questions were ignored (not your blog!). If I'm one of 200 commenters and I'm just sayiing the same thing (like, "Great photos!") I don't mind. But the third or fourth time I make an effort to comment and ask a question, if I'm not responded to, I'll probably go somewhere else. People really want a personal connection, I've found.

I also wanted to add that many people would probably not think to look back at the comments for an answer to their question. Maybe a new post would be a better place to answer? That way everyone will get the benefit of your responses!

Hugs.. and sorry I missed you in Portland!

I comment back in the comments section but I worry that people think I didn't since I am not sure they will go back and check at the post.

Hi Kim....I would love to have the code for the "featured" blinkie. Everytime I go to a blog with that blinkie I think, "HEY, I'VE BEEN FEATURED THERE TOO AND I WANT THAT BLINKIE!!!" Thank you so much, Donna

I just know that person must be referring to my blog! I would love to answer all the questions I get but between working full time, updating my blog daily, having a teenager and keeping my house somewhat clean there just isn't enough time! I do try to answer all my emails but so many of them end up in my SPAM and although I go through there I'm sure I miss some. I really hate to let anyone down so this really bothers me...I feel so bad!

I also have trouble keeping up with comments. It can get really hard at the time.

With one of my blogs, it seems usual in that genre if you like, to reply to comments in the comment section, and we all end up having a big conversation of sorts in there.

In my crafty blog, it seems more normal to email a response to comments, but with blogger, you don't always have their email address to respond to, so I will usually then try to visit their blog and comment, or otherwise put it in the same comment section on my blog. But because of the inconsistancy, it takes me forever to do it... you've now motivated me to write something about it on my blog ;)

By the way, I'm never offended if I don't get a response from you. Love your blog and will continue to visit ;)

I agree...I guess I don't really ever get offended if someone doesn't reply to a comment I've made. I usually just figure people are busy, and their blogs are just a small component of their day...I also just appreciate that they take the time to write new posts. I know how time-consuming that can be!

I figure, If I really want an answer to a question, I'll email the person. Ultimately, me...being me...I usually forget I wrote a comment/question and therefore never seem to miss the fact that perhaps I didn't get an answer. I hope my readers feel the same, as I would hate to think that someone would feel slighted by me...
Oh, and I agree with Cindy, I have many new comments/emails that go to my spam account and sometimes get missed by me...oops!

Flying by the seat of my pants,
Linda
