The Feathered Nest

With a name like that, you just feel all cozy and warm. The Feathered Nest.
Dawn has 5 boys! 5! and a puppy! WOW! That's all I can say.......WOW! And she still manages to create beautiful things. A visit to Dawn's blog can be like stepping back in time. She often has beautiful vintage images and has sometimes uses them for something creative. Well most the time. You can find this cute little charm in her Etsy Shop. Steal of a deal.
With the holidays coming up, her latest photos caught my eye. I have never seen anything like this and what a great idea............AND....it looks like I could do it. I suppose you could run with it and think of many other things to use it for. This would be cute in so many other situations......not only on the tree. I know I mentioned the mantle before, but think of a few of these lined up on a mantle.......just think! Or place setters at the Christmas table.........Oh my gosh, you could put their names on them with a lovely message inside........a Christmas wish. Somebody stop me.

Then this........these........How cute! And guess what? She has a tutorial! Wheeeeeeee!hanging out to dry after spraying them with walnut ink or coffee. Now that would be fun. They are made from rags.......rag balls...... I had no idea these even existed, did you?I love the way they look all together in the bowl. Really cute with the tags too. Before seeing all these creative blogs, I would have walked right past an old piano book of music. Not now. That sheet music can be used for so many great projects. Dawn has shown many ways to use sheet music.

Part of the tutorial below.

Have fun cruising Dawn's Blog........The Feathered Nest. Please tell her how you found her.

Sorry about the short post. We are off to the big city of Camas tree lighting. The rain has stopped. No flooding for our immediate area and it's a good thing I don't need to go to Seattle.
