Rebecca Sower

I am thrilled to bring Rebecca to you!

Rebecca Sower, is truly a one of the pioneers in shaping the scrapbook industry. When I first started scrapping, I remember that I couldn't get enough of the Rebecca Sower Fresh cuts. She has been instrumental is designing so many products, but interestingly she continues to stay true to the expression of art. She is truly blazing her own path that we are all willing and wanting to follow.
(who woulda thought to use an old door part? Rebecca, that's who......eye's wide open.)Her original take on her creations is refreshing........they seem to show heart and soul.........not a trend. That's a fine line we scrappers walk on. I know I find myself following whatever the trend is and if I can't follow it, I get frustrated until I give myself a reality check....it's not always about what's hot........it's about the artistic journey and Rebecca has reminded me of that. A peek into her studio makes me all tingly....... I think it's very cool to have a simple jar to store your stuff. Love the look, the function and price! Looks even better in high quantities.
more tingles....................

Rebecca is also a columnist and Scrapbook Hall of Famer for CK magazine..........which I love. Did I ever mention that I bought Lisa (the founder of CK) a muffin and got to spend 2 hours driving her around with a friend of mine? Yep, I did. Nice woman...........back to Rebecca........another woman I'd love to be stuck in a car with.........she even keeps a suitcase in her car full of creative supplies for those moments you're waiting for football practice to end....that's dedication. I'm lucky to have my magazines with me.............but I did pick up a large branch that fell from an oak tree for a project...........it's in my car now..........maybe I could spray paint it at the soccer field..........my husband thinks I'm nuts.........but you wait til you see it................back to Rebecca...... Not only is she a talented designer........she has GREAT giveaways on her blog. See all those boxes? Those were packed and ready to go for a few winners. Now that would have been better than winning the lottery. Tutorials.........she's got em........you know how I love em.......... this tutorial is for making paper roses. Love the fact that she is recycling.
I would love to have a better peek into her home. The simplicity of this white wreath on her back door is beautiful. She obviously has great style. I love the story behind this photo..........it's on her blog.
Gosh! Rub ons! Don't they just make our life better?

This is such a fabulous piece of art. I'm sure she uses the tags, sells them, etc.....but what a great display on that gate. Very cool.More tags................I'm thinking I need to make some.
I've always loved this idea of storing bits and pieces. It can't be a new muffin tin.......it has to be old. Don't you agree?

She loves quotes.........so when you visit her site, leave your favorite quote. I know she would love that.
Reading her blog, I get the feeling that she is such a humble, sweet and giving person. I find her blog inspirational on many different levels..........you'll see.
So there you have it.........enough inspiration for the whole week, in case life gets in the way of my posting for the next 2 days.
Enjoy!

Thanks so much for showing her studio!! Although I am green with envy, I just love to see other people's work spaces. The jars are a great idea.
