Junk

This past weekend was a BIG flea market sale at The Barn House Boys.  My girlfriend and I  headed out for some junkin!    You can read my full post on my personal blog.

I thought I would look up some of the vendors and low and behold, they do have blogs!  Yipee!

Just so you know………I WAS THERE…….RIGHT THERE! I had that burlap pillow in my junk lovin hands……I was going to buy it….I was…….I was so close, then I decided it was too scratchy for the room I wanted to use it in…….Burlap how I love thee, but why so scratchy?imageBella was a cute cute vendor!  I loved looking through her things. I really wanted that tool bin drawer looking thing below……imageAnd I also had one of these burlap runners in my junk lovin hands………but as cute as it is……the ruffle was too big for me.  I’m now regretting it.  I love it.imageWhat I did end up buying was a piece of Ironstone…….my new obsession. image I bought one of her larger plates and I almost bought that little one too…..dang it!  More regrets.

In fact when I was waiting to pay, her husband came up behind me and said “I’ll take that”…….since he didn’t have on a cute little dress or apron that is so popular with the vendors, I gave him the stink eye that told him I wasn’t falling for his con job……..until “bella” told me he was with her.  Silly me.

I would have LOVED to have seen this piece below……..oh yumm yumm yum!imageYou can tell she’s a true NW gal……..image     We had SO much fun at the sale.  If it weren’t for my friend Debi (our dog’s breeder), I wouldn’t have realized that the gal taking our money to get in was Heather Bullard. IMG_6571 Duh!  And then walking through one of the booths, she pointed out that I had featured the vendor as well…….we were walking through Tracy’s booth.  A past feature.  IMG_6562Notes from a Cottage Industry.  So much fun!  She lives in Camas now! That’s where I live!!!  Maybe she’ll come over and help me with my living room?   Had it not been for my friend, I wouldn’t have known what junkin legends I was walking amongst.

And now Bella……she’s in my neck of the woods too.  Oh the future’s looking bright!

Head on over…..you know the drill………but first let me know you stopped by and I’ll enter you for my monthly Lisa Leonard giveaway.image

Oh my gosh, what fun you must have had! I would so love to go there - wish it wasn't so far. Love your ironstone plate - I have a few pieces of ironstone and love the versatility of the white pieces. I'd be tickled pink to win a LL giveaway!

I was at the Barn House sale too! I loved it! We got there at 8:30 and when we left the police had just gotten there because of all the parking issues! We had a great time - bought too much stuff though! LOL

Awww...if it truly WAS / IS
junk ... folks know the value
these days!

Great post!

I'm headed to Star, ID today...
not too far {sorry for the rhyme}
to do a bit of scouting myself.
This gal has converted an old
school house into her home {pretty
cool I think} and I can't wait to
see it!

Where does the school/house master
dig for her stuff? The great states of Oregon & Washington!

Hope I find just as neat stuff as you and your buddy found! ~j.

My girlfriends and co-workers would make appts...

I changed my style COMPLETELY...

when we moved to Bainbridge!
Went from Cottage...

Well , thank you sooo much for featuring me on your blog, I really am honored.
Joe gets told all the time " you'd best give her that money when you get home!" lol - he always does. I told him thats a pretty good scam - just go stand by someones booth and help collect the money. I'm surprised someone hasn't tried it!
Be sure to come to Monticello's Fall show in September. Lots of the same vendors and Barn House will be set up , too
I'm off to add you to my blogroll
Nice to meet you!
Sue
