Blog Exposure!

Thank you all for the kind encouragement about my new boutique.  I’ll let you all know when it’s live!

widgetFriday’s have become a day that I feature one of our fabulous peeps from our Chic Chick Widget.  There is no better way to promote your site, than with our widget.  It’s the most exposure you’ll get for $5.95

Even though Sevi Designs  is one of our peeps, I feel like I also know her mostly from twitter and facebook.  She’s another one of those crazy talented sewing moms.  I swear you guys are taking over the world.

She’s been crazy over making these ruffled tank dresses…..I’d like one of these with with a built in boulder holder please.

image Camera Strap covers seem to be the popular items these days.  You can’t have a nekkid camera strap.  You just can’t.  Trust me.image I’m diggin these key fobs.  Hey…….I think that’s the same fabric as my camera bag.  image  Just to show off, she does other stuff too……that has nothing to do with sewing…….love the packaging.image I’m loving these hair accessories……….love me some fabric flowers.image I could use one of these…..a scarf sounds good right now……….since we’ve had ZERO sun here in the NW.  image So tell me……do you sew?  Have you signed up to be a Peep?

Happy Friday!

Hi! I love to sew, but I haven't ever felt very good at it. This year, I took the plunge and bought a vintage sewing machine like the one my granny used to use. I figured it would inspire me! With the help of great blogs like yours, I have found lots of simple patterns that are also modern and stylish, and easy! My sewing skills are improving every day, and my confidence. I have even started featuring my projects on my blog. Isn't it fun to be able to share your creativity with like-minded people all over the world! We'll never be lonely sewers again! Thanks again for your blog. Cathy

Good luck on your new venture. I know it will be a huge success. I bought my first sewing machine this year (actually my mom bought it for me for my birthday). I am still a beginner, but it's so much fun to create using it. I love it! I hope to get as good as those girls you featured some day, maybe!

XOXO
Jen

I love to sew and create anything I can think of.
I need to read more about the Chic Chick Widget too.
Also, I have one of Sevidesigns scarves and
a necklace. I love them both, and get many compliments
on them.

Kim, thanks so much for the Feature. What a nice surprise :)

I highly recommend learning how to sew. I taught myself a few years ago, and so glad that I did!

I haven't sewn on a machine since junior high home economics! I really do want to get a sewing machine at some point, even though I'm sure I'd never have time to use it. I just really WANT it, you know?

I did once want a poodle skirt, though, so I bought a pattern and made myself one BY HAND because of my lack of a machine. Literally. 100% hand-stitched. I did cheat & do an elastic waist rather than a fitted one with a button closure, but I've still got it and still occasionally wear it for Halloween or '50s themed events.

I love to sew, but I'm afraid of tackling garments. I've made aprons, animal plushes, one mermaid halloween costume (that was a challenge!) and I'm currently working on a quilt to take to college with me :)
Is the Chic Chick widget $5.95 total or $5.95 a month?

I love stealing time to sew. My next project is a dress for my little one and some extra large bibs to try to salvage the rest of her summer clothes.

I have had my sewing machine for 8 years and I am still such a novice!

... and I need to look into being a Peep. I'll add it to my ever growing to do list!

Have a great weekend!
