Hey all……our favorite crafty day is here!
I love posting all your creative goodness. It’s show & tell time on TCB.
Sadly, here are the rules.
1. Please post my button or at least link back to me in the post you link up here. Yes, I know my button is big. It’s not for your side bar, it’s for your posting area. (5 out of 10 I visit don’t link back……just sayin)
2. If you made it, post it. It can be anything creative. Baking, knitting, painting, photography, re-decorating…….yes, I know many of you have made children, and they are cute..….but that’s a whole different category.
3. Please don’t post your own linky party as your creative link.
While I’m vacationing in beautiful Utah, trying to trick everyone into thinking I’m LDS…. I’m crafty darn it, but I gotta have my coffee.
For my features, I’m doing Flash Backs. I have SO many featured bloggers that I would LOVE to feature again……but it’s against my rules………but it’s not against my rules if I bring attention to their original feature! :)
She’s amazing. You’ll love her. Once you read her original feature, head on over to see what she’s up to now.
Enjoy…….I’ve got some sun bathing to do….
OH! Don’t forget that each comment left for me, enters you for the monthly Lisa Leonard Giveaway!
OMGOSH!!!!! I can’t believe it! I mean what are the odds that I could end up drawing Valerie Whites name? I went to high school with Valerie! Valerie is one of my scrapbooking comrades……..It’s exciting to give one of these away, but I must admit that it’s even more exciting when I actually know the person IRL (in real life)………
So Valerie……..come on down! I can’t wait to visit you and see what you make.
I so wish I could give one to each of you. I hope some of you were able to take advantage of the amazing savings they were offering.
Thank you Silhouette.
Oh……and my sons team ended up winning their game tonight! Life is pretty sweet.

Giving away one Silhouette! Just visit their site and leave me a comment telling me what project you like the best.
The good folks at Silhouette recently sent me one of their amazing little machines to see if I’d like it! DUH! Of course I like it……..in fact I love it! I was SO excited to try it out, but I had a compatibility issue…….After wrestling with Vista, I called their nice support line and talked to Logan who got me up and running in less than 5 min. The best part is they are also letting me GIVE ONE AWAY!
Yes! I am giving away ONE Silhouette. (must live in the states)
Just leave me a comment after visiting their site, telling me your favorite project. The giveaway deadline is Saturday at 5pm.
Because of my Vista issues, I only had time to knock out one project so far, but boy do I have plans…..I’ve already downloaded an image to use with a heat transfer for a T-shirt for my son. Their online store has SO many different designs you can purchase. I purchased the dog you see in my project below and the soccer image. They were only .99cents!
Isn’t that cute. Love the grunge look.
What I am so excited about with the Silhouette, is you can use your own fonts. I made this vinyl wall decor using their vinyl. My darling dog eats right next to this window! So dang cute! I love it and I’m sure my sweet Mabie loves her her decor. Get it? BONE Appétit? BONE?….I’m pretty clever like that.
The good people at Silhouette are also letting me run these amazing promos! Since we all can’t win, we can at least save some $$ if you’re thinking about purchasing one of these beauties. These deals don’t come around too often, better jump on it……and no, I don’t get a cut.
The promo code for them to use is 'TCB'
You have to use the code to get the discount.
1) AWESOME PROMO (running through July 1st)
If you buy the Silhouette between now and July 1st you will get the following:
A Savings of $130.96
Just think of how much you’ll save on gift giving and home decor this year!

A savings of $89.98
To be entered into the drawing, please leave me a comment after visiting their site, telling me what your favorite project is.
Thank you Silhouette!
Maybe it’s the insane calorie reduction in my diet, but this dessert looks like the best thing EVER! And she was nice enough to covert the measurements for us measurement challenged Americans. (She lives in France)
Bird Crafts……and boy does she ever.
Fresh cherries……nommm nommmm And this……see, I told you. Isn’t that yummy looking? I love warmed baked anything with cherries in it…….heck….who am I kidding……I love anything if it’s warm baked.
Bird has several party ideas. She has them all easily listed on the side.
Oh I love it when a blogger does these cute photo collages. Saves me SO much time. Another great party.
Besides being crafty in the kitchen, she’s pretty crafty with other stuff too. And thrifty. She recently saw a cute craft tool holder from Pottery Barn. But like me, she’s not going to pay those prices. She spray painted a few cans, attached them to a lazy susan for WAY less expensive. Looks good too.She just got done re-decorating her kitchen. I love her vision for using an upside down shade for her light fixture. Gotta think outside the box from time to time.
You all know I love kitchen towels. She found these cute cherry ones…….I see a theme here……and added some cute fabric to enhance the cuteness. Vision……it saves you money.
Remember to leave me a comment if you want to be in the drawing for a Lisa Leonard Necklace. All comments left for the month are included. The more you comment, the better your chances.
Also, join up with us as we chat it up over on my Blog Frog Community.

Amy finally took her Photo Copy protection off her blog……..so now I was able to steal a few shots so I could feature her. Sure….I could have asked her for permission for a few…..and I even went so far to email her and ask….but then I fell short in choosing what I needed permission for…….I’m sadly just not that organized. The beauty of TCB is my spontaneity……at least that’s what I want to believe anyway because….it’s what works for ME.
Since I’m getting ready to head to the land of craft…..the land of creative women…..the land of etched casserole dishes…….I thought I’d show you want just about every LDS woman has in her kitchen. It’s true. :)
Because they take meals to people who have been sick, or just had a new baby, or just because…….they’re nice like that. (I better start minding my manners, clean it up a bit so I can hang with the best of them…….My sis says no matter how nice I am, they all know I’m not LDS……my shorts are too short. But dang I try….If I could only sew like Amy…….her blog is so much fun. The Idea Room
I’m loving these cute numbers. Even after the kids are done playing with these, you could use them for something cute…. Don’t worry…..you too can make them. She has a ton of tutorials.
Because she’s a good mama…….she has fun projects for her kids. Like finger paints……these are non-toxic and easy to make.
I was thrilled to find crafts and activities aimed for boys. My son would LOVE this marshmallow gun. She even shows how to make it.
Or this tried and true sculpture activity. We’ve been doing this at least a couple of times a year since my son was 5. He’s 11 now. It’s great for getting them to focus for at least 30 min.
This one cracks me up…….her son is really ready to play with this homemade light saber……
I’m excited to try this with my son. Making your own bouncy ball. He’s gonna flip.
How about some fun finger puppets? Make these into super heros for the boys and my son would use them for thumb wrestling. LOL
I was happy to see she made a crayon roll from Skip To My Lou, my media partner. Those are such a great idea and great gift idea.
Amy is pretty gifted in the kitchen too……..of course she is.
Canning her own peaches…….Yum. She even shows you how. Or how to make your own popsicles. This is how you slip the good stuff in without your kids knowing. Besides, they’re much prettier.
And you can make special ones for 4th of July. Who wouldn’t love a fourth of July popsicle? And just think of the cool mom points you’ll get.
She made these for Valentines Day, but heck….just change the sprinkle color and call it a Fourth of July ice cream sandwich. Yummmm
Or what about Fourth of July Star cookies? (cool mom points)
Her site has a bit for everyone. If you’re getting to re-decorate a room and you want to make it kind of girly….this lampshade may be perfect. Yep….she shows you how.
And as far as summer projects go…….here’s a fun one for little girls. All you need is some magazines or old scrapbook paper.
Well don’t let me hold you back…….head on over and leave her a comment. Please…..with sugar on top. :)
And don’t forget that all comments on my blog are automatically entered to win a Monthly giveaway for a Lisa Leonard Necklace.
Come back tomorrow for Get Your Craft On.
Whoops, I missed a day of posting? Hopefully you didn’t notice. I was finishing up the teacher gifts……which I am happy to report they LOVED them. One said it was the best gift she’d ever received. :) You can see them here.
You would never know by the weather here in the Portland area that the 4th of July is right around the corner. It’s been cold and rainy here….we get a couple of days of sun just to tease us…….then right back to rain.
But who couldn’t use a few 4th of July eggs…….You may as well use eggs for other holiday’s too. I found her egg entry on my Get Your Craft On………so even though I may not be able to leave everyone a comment…..oh how I wish I could…………I do try to visit everyone. Thank you for linking.
I knew I’d love her blog with a title like Cheap Chic Home. That’s me. Cheap. You can find a short tutorial on her egg painting on her site. She has lots of ideas and seems like a very nice woman. Those are the best kind.
Now this is cheap………..and very chic. There is NO excuse for not having one of these now. From trash to………. treasure. She also shows you how to create this cheap but chic table decor.
This little paper wreath caught my eye while I was there poking around. This also reminds me a bit of the 4th. It would also of course carry over to other holidays too…….or even for non holidays. :) Tutorial…..on her site.
Anyone with a linen French grain sack on a chair makes me very jealous. What’s even more maddening, is I’m pretty sure she whipped this up herself. Isn’t it gorgeous?
Here’s something fun and original. A candy tower…….and any excuse to use your cake plate is a good one in my book. This would be great for a kids party of some sort…..or if you can get candy wrapped in red, white and blue…..that would be perfect!
She also has a tutorial on this……she has one of her children showing us. Start’em young.
Enjoy your visit and please make sure you leave her a comment……I mean…..if you were featured, wouldn’t YOU want everyone to leave YOU a comment?
While you’re feeling all “commenty”…..all comments left on my blog in the month of June will be automatically entered to win a Lisa Leonard necklace.
