Party Planner

Be sure to visit Cindy at Skip to My Lou for Made by You Mondays.

While at Bloggy Boot Camp we had a vendor party where locals could set up their business.  I met this darling gal who is doing party planning.  She had a darling table set up with all these pinwheels and started telling me about a party she did.  Such a cute idea.

City Cradle Designimage I love how she spray painted the bottles and used them for vases.  She added a bit of chalkboard paint and wrote in chalk.  Oh the possibilities!imageimage She didn’t have this donut tree at the vendor fair…….good thing….I think all those bloggers would have tackled each other to get a piece. I love this idea…….wouldn’t it also be great for a winter party?  What if you used the regular ones?  Or….what if you did this with the small regular donuts.  Cute.image

You all know how much I love pears……and if you don’t, then you’re kind off new to my blog.  I love pears.  I love to eat them, I love to decorate with them……so I’m going to pretend this party is for me…….except……I think it’s a bridal shower….don’t tell her I’m already married.image She wanted a universal look, so she used the same labels but added the drink name to each bottle.  She has the download on her site.  There is also one for tea bags.  It’s all in the details.  image

She is so clever……stacking the white bud vases……and hanging the clear ones.  So creative.  image  Seriously…….who wouldn’t thought of using these pear bud vases for cream and sugar?  That will for sure gain you some extra party points.imageShe recently organized a Mothers Day brunch…….She’s the one that should have been sitting back……being a mother to twins, I’m sure she deserves to be pampered.   I have a feeling though, she enjoyed herself so much planning, it felt relaxing.  I love this simple cake.  A tiny little banner…….and then she used a stencil…..one she cut….to make the design.  She’s brilliant.image Another amazing idea!  Using a stencil to create quick art for your event.image

Vicky certainly loves thinking outside the box.  Her ideas are fresh, innovating and original.  Why do all these party planners live in Arizona?

I would have loved to have chatted with her more.  Creative women always keep me interested.

One last little idea she had……….cute birds….made with ribbon.image

And a little starch.  I love a tutorial and she’s got a few. image

Now off you go.  Do you realize when you leave them a comment, you lift their day?  It’s true.

And if you leave me a comment….I’ll tell you a secret.

I’m doing a monthly giveaway where I’ll combine ALL the comments you leave me together and pick a name.  So leave me a comment too.

It looks like you guys had a wonderful time. What great ideas. Now just to have time to make some of these great things. The ideas sure make me look at things in other ways than what they were meant to be used for. Thank you for a great blog and all of the wonderful ideas.

When I saw all your pears you reminded me of my old employer, Nancy Glass at Nancy Glass Productions! We made shows for HGTV but she was well known for her love of all things pear! She would love your post. If anyone is from the Philadelphia area they might remember her from early Entertainment television shows in the area. You bluebirds are great! Don't know where you come up with you ideas, but kudos!
