Making Paper Flowers

One of the things I loved about Bloggy Boot Camp was meeting people who love my blog!  Who wouldn’t love that?  Well Michelle was one of those people. She was so cute.  She was so excited to meet me, which cracked me up.  Seriously people….I’m just a chubby fitness instructor who looks for eye candy, then tells you all what I found.  It’s really all you that are the Rock Stars!  You don’t see me doing all these fun projects do you?  Well…….I would love to, but now I’m too busy with this blog.  :)

Michelle is from the Phoenix area……..she should have joined us for dinner!  MaddyCakes Muse…….a party Planner kind of gal.

I’ve seen lots of party ideas, but I have never seen this idea……..placing a basket of things your guests may need in the bathroom.  How thoughtful.  But after meeting her, I’m not surprised.  She was so cute.

image When you visit her blog, you’ll find all kinds of ideas, even if she’s just sharing them from another place….she spreads the wealth.

She had many requests for those big fluffy paper flowers you see Martha making….Seriously, who knew they were so easy?  Oh shush……I didn’t.

image And you get a big ole puffy beautiful flower when you’re done.  image I also like this idea……imageshe placed the monogram on there herself with a bit of mod podge…..then the fabric……but you can use paper or tissue if you wanted.  How cool would that be to your guest to have their initial?  Then they could take the plate home……after they licked it clean of course.

Because she’s a party planner, she has wonderful ideas on how to get ready.  I loved her check list…..I am SO going to use that.  I love entertaining, but I don’t love being stressed about it.  She also gets you thinking of innovative ways to make that event even more special….she shares with how to grab the attention of your guests with a unique invitation.  Like these diapers…….Is that original?imageYou know about 5 yrs ago, I thought I was SO clever when I had a pirate party for my son.  And let me tell you, it was hard because it was BEFORE Cap’t Jack Sparrow swooned us with his movies.  Here’s one of her Pirate settings.imageI just LOVE the jewels around the charger! I think that is the coolest thing ever.imageAnd when you have twins…..you hire Michelle to do your party.  A Dr. Seuss  Thing 1, Thing 2 party.  Get it?  Thing 1, thing 2?  CUTE!imageIt looks like she had way too much fun decorating for this party!image image image

So if you’ve got a few events to plan….if you’re in the Phoenix area…….call Michelle.  If you’re not in the Phoenix area, then head over to her site and steal be inspired by her ideas.

Also….you guys have been so good at surprising people and letting them know they’ve been featured!  I love it!  So go surprise her!  She’s going to be tickled pink.

Come on over to my Blog Frog Community and let’s talk parties!
