Red Door!

I thought about writing about my incredibly odd and frustrating day……but I figured you guys don’t really want to know about how we had a stereo replacement at the club and the ipod attachment wouldn’t work, or how I had two women get dizzy in class and how one almost fainted.  Or how during water class I had a woman who took class wearing a dress and didn’t speak English (kind of hard to follow along)…..or about the woman who argued with me when I asked her to move to the side about a foot……..because she has pushed into someone else’s spot……But really…….You guys don’t want to hear about my other life.  Let’s move on to more interesting things….more positive things.   :)

Like Red Doors………you know I LOVE a red door and they always cheer me up.  So today I want to show you  Red Door Home.

I thought some of her stuff looked familiar.  She’s been published in several magazines…..because she has great ideas.  imageThis was her article on using feed sacks for curtain panels.  Very cool.image She also has a few great tutorials…….things are lookin up ladies.  Like getting rid of that brass.  UGH!  Paint it already….you won’t be sorry.imageI think she’s VERY happy she painted hers.  What a great transformation. Can’t go wrong with the burlap shade either. imageAnother cool tutorial, she used old printer blocks…..image  Stamped a pattern…..image And made a pillow. And boy can this girl make a mean pillow.  She has an Etsy shop FULL of amazing pillows.

image This is Brilliant people…….this changes everything for me for next Christmas.  image Pick up some old tea cups from your local thrift store.  Fill with pebbles and a paper white bulb…….image Wrap it up pretty and call it the best gift ever!image She calls this an “Easy Pleated table runner”  Tutorial.  She hasn’t met me…….because if I made that, it wouldn’t be easy.

imageBut I do like the way it looks finished.  But I’m not making it……image   I know this is a holiday photo…….but dang…….would you look at that house?  Sigh.  It’s gorgeous.  It’s that Red door……well and all those windows too.  Love it.

Ok, make my day and go flood her comment box with TCB love.

Hi there! I just found your blog because I was searching for other blogs about doors and yours came up. I don't know if you are interested, but I have a blog only about doors (and my very first post was of A RED DOOR - for Valentine's day!) I have come across here in Prague (Czech Republic) where I live. If you have a minute, please stop by and look through the doors...I post a new one each day so there might be a few you could like (including other colors such as blue and turquoise!). I am new to blogging so if you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them!!

Oh, and so sorry you had such a difficult day (with what sounds like slightly difficult people!) May the upcoming weekend make up for all the frustration!

Take care
