Happy Halloween!  I’m feeling rather festive, so why not offer more stuff?

When I featured her, I had no idea that I would end up friends with her and blog partners in our media stuff.  I had no idea that I would be playing patty cake with her 4 yr old daughter on Skype.

Cindy gave me the go ahead to offer this darling felt bag and food pattern to 10 people!  This is such a great toy for little ones, or a great gift.

Pink Polka Dot Chair

Cute! Love the name of this blog. Love it even more when she actually HAS a Pink Polka Dot Chair.

I found this jewel of a blog from my Get Your Craft On Tuesdays. She’s been linking up some pretty cool stuff.

Her Halloween banner is to die for…….no pun intended. It’s not too late to make one you know…….lovin the tomb stones on the mantel.

I love how she used her tiered plate rack to decorate. Great idea……simple.

Other great ideas are this license plate memo board……..so Pottery Barn-esqu Another great idea…….you guys are wearing me out……I have run out of time for all these great ideas I’m finding on a daily bases….

She sews………GAW! She even shows a great tutorial for this skirt……TUTORIAL! We love em…..and let me point out that no matter how many tutorials I read….it’s not going to make ME a seamstress. First I would need to set the sewing machine up….maybe I’ll surprise you all someday with a photo of a pot holder I made.

She’s got some cool scrapbooking projects she shows us…….I love mini albums. Love the ribbon……Great title for a family vacation. Let’s see………she decorates for holiday's, she does amazing projects that look like Pottery Barn………she sews……….AND……..she scrapbooks? I might be going out on a limb here, but I smell a crafty talented LDS woman. Someone push her over will ya? She’s probably really sweet too……

A little Loveliness

What is wrong with me?  I must be a glutton for punishment….I keep choosing these Super Moms as my features. 

A Little Loveliness

Not only is she a super mom she’s also contributing editor to "Christian Woman" magazine and author of the book "Giving for All It's Worth." And contributed a chapter to the book "Woman to Woman."  I’d say she’s a show off…….but don’t we love show offs?  I know I do. 

I think what caught my eye the most is how she takes a simple idea to make something a not so simple looking gift or event.   Like this pitcher of lemonade ….Seriously….the impress factor just went up 100 notches.  Simple!  Add a silk flower, some ribbon……WOW!

She made Strawberry cookies…….I’ve never heard of Strawberry cookies….she has the recipe on her site along with 100s of other recipes….I think I remember her saying she packaged these up for her daughters friends.  Simple gesture….but very thoughtful.

Speaking of simple but thoughtful….she put this together for her brother in law….or maybe it was just her brother.  She uses vinyl lettering a lot.  Such great ideas.  Presentation is key.

How about this? She bought the coffee mugs from The Dollar Tree…….added a monogram to some cute fabric, added a bow……So cute!  So much better than just a regular coffee mug.  There are lots of great gift ideas on her blog…..Christmas IS coming.

This is just a lil’ sumpin sumpin she put together for her sister in law.  Boy she must love her….I think the best thing I ever got from my sister in law was a candle.  I would fall over if  I opened up this gift.  Wouldn’t matter who I got it from.

 

Spending a bit of time at her blog, you can tell she goes all out. You can also tell she enjoys it.  This below is a photo collage (love those) of a back to school dinner.  BACK TO SCHOOL?  WOW.  I’d like to see Thanksgiving at her house.  Her kids are lucky….I’m definitely not going to show my son this….he was happy with his Take and Bake pizza we had.

She has great table scapes….love this center piece.    Did I mention she has a ton of recipes on her site?  I did?  Well this is one you’ll want.  She added this to my Get Your Craft On Tuesdays.  Spiced Pumpkin Latte…….Dang!  I can’t wait to try this….. This below was from yet another celebration dinner……she has a lot of them…….But would you look at those pumpkin bowls?  Do you think she’s like us scrapbookers? You know how you find a cute embellishment and then you find a reason to use it?  I think she finds cute dishes and decides to find a way to use them….Darling pumpkins…..        Melissa has a lovely family. She shares not only great recipes, table scapes, and great gift ideas….but she’s got great ideas for family fun.

Oh how I LOVE this day! I love seeing all the different creative projects you’re working on. There is so much talent out there! I love how this is such a great place to gain new ideas. Kimba from A Soft Place To Land……..a past feature……..she also has a link up for creative projects. She had hers first and I know what you’re thinking……NO! I DID NOT COPY HER! I about died when I saw hers….Do you think she thinks I copied her? WOW!

Another LDS super mom with amazing ideas.  If you’re LDS, she shares some great tips for some of her callings.  Even if you’re not LDS.  Still great stuff.

 

It’s no surprise she’s organized.  So that explains her tidy nice looking photo collage’s.  I love that.  It’s very pleasing to look at. 

One Christmas she made……MADE these games for her family.  Great idea and I can imagine all the laughter…….and think about it for future generations.  What a gift.  I guess it helps that she’s a designer. She designs logos and all that fancy stuff.  That would explain her very cool blog design.

If you’re having a baby…………..and who isn’t if you’re LDS….but you want HER to throw you the baby shower.  Look at the cute baby shower invite!  She’s got skillz……

 

Look at the detail.  She’s good.  Her whole theme was Cravings.  LOL!  Love that. Another baby shower………another example of all the many themes she creates.  Darling.

And yet another shower idea….I think this one may be a bridal shower?  Lots of practice there too.  Love this.  Who woulda thunk?  Circus…….

She also has some pretty cute parties for her children.  I love the photo collages……..makes my job so easy.  She also scrapbooks!  Of course she does…….looks like she’s doing digital.  Her style is very simple like one of my favorite “scrapbook celebrities”……who is actually on my facebook fan page!  Cathy Zielske……yes, I’m name dropping…..and while I’m at it, did I mention that I got to drive Lisa Bearnson around once?  She shares a lot about different events, calls, programs she does at her ward (church)…….I love how she shares idea for decor and ideas for covering up items that aren’t helping your theme……This looks SO good.  She got this idea from Stitch Market…..  A little wrapping paper goes a long way.    And because she’s a super mom….she makes her own education books for her children.  She got this idea from Little Painted Piggies…..credits on her blog.  I’ve made a paper bag album before……with ribbons………just sayin….She’s very creative in her daily life.  Her blog is full of nice photos, fun projects and cute kids.  Please let her know I sent you…….leave her a nice comment.  Enjoy!

Oh My Gosh! Feed burner HELL!

Holy Hell! Had I known when I started this blog that I would have to jump through hoops that were sometimes flaming..I would have realized right then that there may be some things that will take WAY more time and knowledge to figure out...........LIKE STUPID FEEDS...FEED BURNERS.....GOOGLE FEEDS.....BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA
But I think I finally fixed it! My eyes are glazed over and I'm craving chocolate. But I do think it's working.
Many of you kept asking me why I haven't posted in forever......but I never took a break.....just my feed burner. So please have fun catching up........I've missed you. I also have a Facebook fan page. More info at the bottom of my right side bar.
I'm going to go lay down.

Mabel’s House

This gal contacted me knowing I would love to see some of her photos.  What she didn’t know was how funny I would think she is.  I love her writing.

When you visit Mabel’s House you suddenly get that Mad Men feel.  She’s thrown in a bit of retro vintage to give it that urban feel.  Her decorating style is a little bit cottage and a little bit quirky.  It works. ……After reading that sentence, I may break out in that Donny and Marie song “I’m a little bit country…..I’m a little bit rock n roll”  Sorry…..it’s burned in my brain.  You all know I love me some Donny.  So cute and humble. 

But this post isn’t about Donny and surprisingly it’s not about my dog either……it’s about Elizabeth’s blog named after HER dog Mabel.  What a darling blog name……coincidently, it fits her style too.   (cute dog too)

Style like hers makes me think outside the box….I love how she mixes so many styles and like I said up there…….it works.  Lovin these shutters.   Great idea to place INSIDE next to a window……who says they have to be next to a window outside?  Who?

Sweet little bathroom.  Brings back memories of an apt I used to have when I was single living in Portland in the Lloyd District.  I had pink and black tile.  I loved that bathroom.  Are those curtains actually a vintage table cloth?  SHUT-UP!

Now I’m not a hipster and would probably pass up a couch like this, but I’m seriously liking what she’s done here.  She gave this old furniture you may see at your local Good Will a breath of fresh air.  So hip.  I think my mother had those tables…..see what a coat of paint will do……and those lamps.  Just re-do the shades by adding burlap (LOVE BURLAP) and paint them that trendy blue….You’ve got yourself a highly fashionable room for not a lot of money.  We LOVE that!  You don’t need new to be cool.

Speaking of being thrifty.  It’s really the best way to be…..really.  First she found this darling cabinet.  I even like it just as is.Then she found this hutch top………TaDa!    And then……..she added them together.  Brilliant!  You know what else I love?  I love that she took the cabinet doors off…..I would have never thought to do that.    Alright all you crafty gals…….When you visit her….don’t forget to leave her a comment.  It’s all about making me look good people.  I can handle you not leaving ME comments all the time….I mean, I’m directing you AWAY from my site day after day, that’s just too many clicks………but if you’re not leaving the featured bloggers comments, then I’ll just assume that no one is reading.
