Between Naps on the Porch

Since I’m focusing on table settings this week…..I will try to stay focused.  If you have a Fall or Thanksgiving table setting you’d like to share, email me.  Krjdemmon@gmail.com… maybe I’ll do a full post showcasing everyone’s idea.

Between Naps on the Porch

Sit up straight because this girl is formal.  She has a very grown up approach….there will be no burping at this table.  It’s stunning.   Woodland tablescape12Isn’t it lovely?  It smells so good…….well I bet it does…..She snatched up these dishes when she feared Spode was stopping production.

I love how the table is so full, with so much to look at.  The center piece greenery came from her yard…….so see, you don’t have to order an arrangement from the florist…..but you could of course if that’s what you really wanted to do…..just so I don’t get sued by FTD.

Adding the quail really gives it that Huntsman club feel……….Seriously, this is so pretty, I wouldn’t know how to act.  I’m gonna let you in on a secret.  I have no china.  There I said it.  I love china, but it doesn’t fit my personality.  I registered for Pottery Barn dishes when I got married.  But this below would be lovely.  I’m sure it would impress my inlaws more than my drawn placemats I plan on doing for Thanksgiving.

I have a girlfriend like this gal…….my friend has been collecting china and dish sets since she was 3…….she has 6 sets of china……6!  I could probably show her this set and she would state the name and whatever other details within 2 sec………I have a feeling she and Susan would be BFF.

Because Susan loves dishes and table settings…….she even has Tablescape Tuesdays.  A link up to post your table scapes.  I love looking at all of them.

When you love tablescapes and dishes as much as Susan, it’s just fitting that you live in a mansion……Susan didn’t like her porch, so she had a new one built….she had an inspiration photo.  Below is the BEFORE.  Pretty.

And AFTER………well actually DURING.  I have to say she knew what she was doing.  It looks amazing.  And my favorite part?…………

The red door!  BE.U.T.FUL!

Welcome

Looks like I got distracted from the dishes……but I have serious porch envy.  Here’s a gander at her other porch.  If you look really close, you can see another dish set on her cute green hutch.

Additional 015Come this way…….sit with me…..for a scone maybe?……….View to the porch 002Oh!  Looks like she’s got more in mind than a scone.  Hmmmm, yet another dish set.  Screened Porch with sheers 015 Susan’s house is lovely, so many rooms to snoop through.  All exquisitely decorated.

She re-modeled  so much of it and shows us the details.  And you know I love before and afters.Kitchen 004

Here’s her kitchen BEFORE above………..and below…….AFTER!  Hmmmm, is that another fancy dish set in those glass cabinets?  :)

Thank you all for linking up your Get Your Craft On links!  I visited each one and tried to leave a comment.

I hope you’ll venture over to Between Naps on the Porch and leave her a nice comment…..but while you’re there……..mind your manners.

Wow! Very impressive. My decor consists of kid's painting and smudges on the walls- he, he!

I have drooled over her house many times while reading her blog.
She has wonderful taste and how nice of you to feature her tablescapes and her home.

Hi Kim,
What a wonderful surprise to find your comment...I hurried right over. :-) Thank you so much for featuring my humble abode! Your "mansion" comment cracked me up! Don't let the fancy porch fool ya, this is totally a "starter" home for the Atlanta area! But thanks for making me feel like Ms. Money Bucks there for a few minutes, anyway. (LOL) I love your post and your delightful sense of humor! Hey, I hear burping after a meal in some cultures is considered quite the compliment to the chef! :-) Thanks again for this wonderful surprise...you totally made my day!

You have no idea how much that makes me want to paint my dark cherry-looking cabinets white. That turned out so nice!
