She's Crafty!

***One of my features from last week, Danielle is having a raffle for an awesome cause. Check it out.****

Happy Belated Mothers Day to all of you that are mothers. I had a nice day with a homemade breakfast, a movie out and a beautiful art piece my son made. It didn't even rain! Great day!

OK, this week I am going to do my best to post EVERY DAY! Do you believe me?
But I'm gonna need some encouragement, so please leave me and my features comments. It always helps me when I think people are reading........ I do this to encourage the creative side in people and for attention. I'm really just a show dog. :)

Today's feature is Rachelle with She's Crafty! I think I know her.......but I know I really don't. Did you follow that? She's on my facebook, she either worked or went to UVU......and that's where my sis works.........see we're almost related. Maybe I'll meet her in real life when I head to Utah this Summer for my annual vacation where I just lay around my sisters pool and eat shaved ice. That would be fun. But keep in mind.........I'm not mormon........I'm just related to one..........I've been told by my sis that people can tell from a mile away that I'm not one of them. Is it the starbucks in my hand? Is it my short shorts? Is it my lip piercing and tattoos? Is it the one child I have with me? This year I'm going to fool them. I am! (Seriously......did you think I had a lip piercing and a tattoo? NOT!......but I could........I'm from the NW.)

Rachelle makes these amazing nursing covers. I'm gonna have her make one for my son's teacher who is due in June. I wish I would have had one of these......But here in the NW we don't cover up.
Totally teasing you know.

She is another mom who is using her talents to supplement the family income. Love that option. Love this dot pattern too.The way this girl recycles, I think she's got a bit of NW in her. Because seriously..........you Utah people do not recycle........at least not on my sisters block. But just look at what she did with this baby wipe container? You can continue to use it for so many other things once you're finished with the wipes.Clorox wipe containers! She decorated them and uses them for her paint brushes. (now if she really lived in the NW, she would just make her own clorox wipes and refill them.........well I don't even do that.......but I know people who do..........just sayin)Don't throw out that old sweater! Recycle it! Great idea!Rachelle is resourceful! She found this hat for a couple of dollars.......and didn't really like the peace sign........another indication she's not really a NW gal. So she changed it to fit her personality. I think she's got a bit of Southern Bell in her........whatta you think? Darling!Instead of buying a fancy pants storage holder for all her fibers.......she made one.............with ZIP LOCK bags! How smart is she? She also made these cool magnets and these cool magnetic boards. I think she was selling the boards. I love how these look framed. Great teachers gift.Speaking of great teacher gifts..........here's another slant on the decorated clip board......I like the ribbon on the corner to hold papers. Brilliant. She sews..............of course she does. And she bakes.................of course she does. There you go........your Monday feature.......your creative fix! Off to give Rachelle a TCB bump.

Hey................thanks for reading.

I love Rachelle's blog, so happy that you are featuring her.

Hey, I live in Utah and I recycle. I am always buying other people's junk and transforming it. That counts, right? :)

We pay to recycle in my utah city! Curbside recycling is awesome! We also reuse. Garage sale and DI mania!

I think it's CRAZY that you have to pay separate or more just to recycle! So proud of those who do. Ours in part of our weekly pickup.....everyone has recycling bins and a trash can......and a yard debris can.
Come on UTAH....you can do it! I think perhaps I should make an appt with the state senator while I'm there.

We don't have to pay to recycle where I live in Utah. Weekly pick up.
