j caroline

I have been wanting to feature this girl for the longest time. jcaroline creative.........I admit it.........I'm a bit intimidated........I didn't want to leave anything out. She's pretty famous in the sewing world......she's even been published in many magazines. She can pretty much do anything with fabric and keep her sense of humor and we all know I can't do anything with fabric and my sense of humor would turn from wicked to downright evil.

She started j.caroline creative a few years ago when she was designing handbags. Since then, she has grown her business into a bit of all things creative. Need something? Check out her store.
What keeps me coming back to her site are her witty remarks, her fearless photos of her messy office (you will never see my messy scraproom) and all her crafty endeavors. This is her office after shot. Love the shelving. You have to read her post about this one. She just makes me giggle.

She is the master of re-upholstering furniture. This is one skill I would really like to have......

From this ugly old thing..........it's hard to imagine this being hip isn't it?

To this!!!!Or what about these two old forgotten bedside dressers. using fabric?.......this changes things people. It's not just paint anymore............watch out!Love the lines of this chair. Not the color.........She can fix it, just hold on. From drab.............to fab! Are you inspired yet? Or overwhelmed? Or maybe just plain depressed.

Well then how about a little treat?

Cupcakes from her daughters party. I can do that..........it's using paper.

To speak to my organizing obsession, I found these totes she made......with fabric from her store of course.

We've all been to Wordle.net..........(if you haven't you must go) She took her idea, printed it either on fabric or a iron transfer and made this pillow. Love that idea. My mormon sister did this for her neighborhood..........used Wordle that is. Printed out words for each family and framed it. Isn't that a great idea? I think one of her best re-do's............are these shoes! Who thinks to update their shoes?! This could start a trend.See...........I told you. Enjoy yourself while visiting j caroline. Be sure not to miss the mini Christmas photo shoot she tried with her daughter. Love the wit!

I am so excited to visit this one! Those totes are so cute; I hope she gives directions because I have been looking for some and couldn't find a fabric or pricepoint that I liked. I didn't even consider making them myself! And that sofa; oh my! Did you notice how perfectly placed the pattern is? I would like to follow this gal around for a while to find out how she does it all.
