Cupcake Bakeshop by Chockylit

Well, after the past couple of days, I thought of taking a few days off blogging. Not only was I caught up in a horrible "blog event", but mostly I was saddened and shocked at the human nature I observed. I appreciate the nice unassuming comments I received during this time, these are truly people who know how to handle themselves in a crisis or conflict, but I am left wondering why some people have to handle themselves so inappropriately. It's a direct window to their true character and hopefully they will grow to see that and make a positive change. We can only hope that we as humans can state our cause, our opinion without being ugly.

I could use some comfort food. What about you?
How about a cupcake?

There has been so much talk about cupcakes. Cupcakes seem so innocent, like there are NO calories. There are cupcake bakeries, cupcake wedding cakes.........really who doesn't like cupcakes. They're like puppies and kittens. They brighten any day.

Cupcake Bakeshop by Chockylit is a great cupcake blog. I looked at a few and I kept coming back to hers. She a new mom, a software engineer by day, and bakes on her spare time.......what spare time you're probably thinking? I suspect this is down time for her, a creative escape. And what beautiful work she does. This cherry cupcake photo........to die for.

Her photos are amazing and I would LOVE to know what lens she's using.

Now if this cupcake doesn't restore my hope in man kind, I'm a gonner. I don't remember what flavor this is, but she does some crazy concoctions for more mature palettes. It's so beautiful, I'd have to try it. But really, I'm happy with vanilla......I love that color of green. I need to read up on how to get my frosting to do that. That fluffy whipped look. She is really good at showing you step by step on how she makes all these fancy cupcakes. She is a true cupcake artist. These S'more ones look down right illegal..........do I dare say that? If they are, I have no prior knowledge. You can kind of see how she has gram cracker crumbs in the bottom. Oh boy....stick a fork in me. I'm done.

Oh how I wish I didn't have a PTA meeting today. I would throw on my apron and make some cupcakes...........who am I kidding? I never wear an apron.

Oooh, this looks like a good one. Love me some cupcakes. I even actually make them from time to time (recently posted about my flower pot cupcakes). But these look divine, and what great pictures.

If I had my wedding to do over again, I would have had a cupcake cake. My girls love them so much that they only want cupcakes for their birthdays, but I've never come up with anything that looks as good as hers!

I missed whatever was happening; one moment everything seemed fine, next there was a cryptic message in bloglines, and I couldn't get in from either bloglines or google reader. Glad to hear things are smoothing back out for ya. :(

Those cupcakes look AMAZING....I could kill for a s'more one right now, and that one that looks like a green tea one, lol.

Diet? What diet? They include smore cupcakes, right? My new favorite word... moderation. There's hope for mankind yet... Don't take it too personally.

OMG, now I must have cupcakes. Thanks for featuring her, cause I'm definately going to check out her tutorials.

And to address the 'blog event' you are refering to...I don't know all the details, but I'm sorry that you were saddened by everything going on. Sometimes it's just so hard to understand people and the things they do. Just that you are in the right and let others do as they choose. That's really the only thing we can do.

My comment should have said....."Just know you are in the right and let others do as they choose."

And to add...I admire your courage to face whatever happened and be able to move beyond it. I'm so glad you choose to keep going with TCB.

So, I'm at work and just enjoyed a tastee lunch. I could use a nice little dessert about right now. I go to your blog, nex thing you know... I'm licking the screen. Someone comes by and sees me and asks, "What in the world are you doing?" I look up and that person sees the screen of cupcakes--what do you think they do? They lick the screen! Who would of thunk it?

Cakes look goooodd!!!

Soooo glad you posted. You keep it up, hear? You are an inspiration to so many, and the crazy blog event was in no way your fault. Some people just need to condemn and be ugly. You? You're a lifter-upper kind of girl. The other kind would never understand. But your happy readers do. :)
