She is just so darn cute. Always smiling.
Next up......one of my favorites. Wassail mix. The kind made with Tang. I remember this as a child and I loved it! I remember it being called Russian Tea..........maybe that's not politically correct now. ???? Or maybe because there is no more Russia. Love the stuff either way. edited......karma pointed out that I got my USSR and Russia mixed up..........did I mention I work in the fitness industry? Geography not so much.) LOLWhile we're thinking along those vinyl lettering ideas..........check out this platter. What a great way to welcome your guests. More lettering.........A calendar holder with the family name. I love that! Who wouldn't enjoy that? I also love how it's black on that mocha colored wall. I'm so easy. Going a step further than Wassail mix. Why not a soup? Tie a bow on it and call it dinner! This I have NO idea what this is. But I love it. I was so mesmerized with the beautiful colors I couldn't take my eye's off of it to read about it. Those colors are so amazing together. Think how beautiful this would look in one of those apothecary jars, or a vase??? This came from one of her readers. She has people submit their tips. She has several ideas for advent calendars. This one has little candies in each. Another beauty. I guess this kind of beats my Trader Joe's Advent calendar. Don't tell my son. But really with a boy in the house.........they would just rip those triangles off one by one all in one day. While were still on Christmas, I had to share this Reindeer food idea. How cute would this be to make up for families with small children? Way cute, that's how.And this just made me happy. I know that Thanksgiving is over, but I suppose if you're having ham for your Christmas dinner, you could try to make a pig.Laurie also has her own site along with Tip Junkie. She is a busy busy mom with so much energy. She had a great Bionicle party for one of her little guys. If you have a young boy, you might find this helpful. And because I love to peek into other people's homes, I couldn't resist a photo of her living room. I'm tellin ya.........these homes in Texas are BIG!Love the front door. What's funny is our sisters live near each other in Utah. Laurie, did you go miniature golfing too? Small world. In addition to her Tip Junkie site, I mentioned that she has a personal blog. Lots of great ideas. But she also has another site called Executive Homemaker where she features things made by women. And you KNOW I support that.
For more tips than you ever knew you needed, head on over. Please tell her how you found her.

Hehe... Russia still exists, it's the USSR that is no more. I make Russian Tea for David every year, he grew up with it too!
INSTANT RUSSIAN TEA
1 (1 lb. 2 oz.) jar Tang
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tbsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. instant tea
1 1/4 c. sugar
Dash of salt
To prepare mix, combine Tang, sugar, tea, spices and salt. Store in tightly covered container. Makes 4 cups mix or enough for 12 quarts of tea. For 1 quart of Russian Tea, combine 1/2 cup mix with 1 quart of water.
Thanks Karma...as I wrote that I could feel my brain doing a hiccup.....but was too lazy to think the whole thing through. Of course.......the USSR.......I even sang that song as I wrote the post.....hiccup....
