NannyGoat!

Alright already……..I’m back…….I’m back from visiting my sister in Utah.  We left on a Monday, arrived in Utah on a Tuesday……….got lost in the Time Vortex known as my sisters house…didn’t go to bed before midnight and never knew what day it was the whole time I was there……visited Zion and Bryce Canyon……started our trek home a week and a half later on a Thursday…….It was perfect.  I tried meeting up with a few people…….but never did……..next time…..for sure.  I actually started to write a post on this amazing blog, NannyGoat while there…….but the pool must have called my name so I threw my lap top aside and did a cannonball.  I’m rested and ready to get my bloggin on………So do me a favor and let me know you’re out there.  I mean if I’m doing this for nothing, then I can head back to Utah into the time vortex of sun, shaved ice and swimming.  But if I know you’re reading…….then I’ll become your crafty slave and get busy.  (I can only image the google searches that will be finding my blog now)

NannyGoat had my sister and I gasping……so I knew they could make both of us swoon……they were definitely going to be a featured bloggers!

You all know I love before and afters…….you know that.  And if they are simple…….even better.  I love the ones that leave you with that DUH factor.  Like adding this silk flower to your drawer handles.  DUH! Why didn’t I think of that?  So simple……I have all the stuff right here……..I’m sure if I had a girl, I would have figured it out……..I’m sure of it.  NOT!

Or what about this baby…..one of them made this baby and made this jumper work for her.  She picked it up on sale……..didn’t like what it had across the top…….so why not cut a few uneven circles and glue or sew them…….I would glue…..but probably not safe for the baby……but what a great way to re-purpose a bargain outfit you couldn’t pass up.  It’s a one of a kind now……just like the baby.DSC_0054

Here’s another uneven circle flower.  Very cute……love it.

Are you sitting down?  Do you have a sharpie around?  Gotta have a sharpie for this one.  Turn your ordinary lamp shade into an original that one one has………..I think I actually have these……….I bought them from Big Lots for $5.  She shows a tutorial on her site.  So sweet!  It’s all done with a sharpie!

Good eye NannyGoat!  Look what she found below………and then painted…….gotta get rid of that wood look.  Distressed black with new hardware…..love!

These girls do not stop until they gets it the way they want……. (ooh, another sentence that opens my blog up for some icky google searches…..you all know exactly what I mean)

I need to go back and read the full story on this, but she had this hole she ended up making into a little girl play house room………….would you look at that cute window?  And the vinyl wall art…….so original….more love!

For one of their  boys room………wouldn’t want them to feel left out…….

And because they are  Super Mom’s…my sister said they’re probably LDS…….they seem to have one up on me with the domestic talent and all……Anywhoo….they have a great recipe box tutorial that already looks to complicated for me………but I know most of you will love it.DSC_5938They use it with a whole 30 day recipe system…….you’ll have to visit their site to get full details.  Would you get a look at this below?…….Very organized.  My dream.

Back to those DUH moments.  I don’t know about you, but my sis and I had never seen this great simple tip for taco salad bowls.     And my sis is LDS.

DSC_5237 Wad up tin foil…….the kids could help with this.  Place on a pan and drape your tortilla’s over the top.  GAAA……why didn’t I think of that?  Love these ideas!DSC_5240

So much more on this site.  You’ll be there for hours!  Please tell them how you found them.  Enjoy!

It’s great to be back.

What a great site. As I went and took a peek a saw some great/fun ideas. The funny thing is that my daughter & friends made some of those "GS Thin Mints" that they show on the blog a couple of weeks ago for Fathers Day for their dads. I wonder if that is where our friend got the idea. They were super easy/yummy by the way.

I think you and your sister are right about them being LDS.

Thanks for sharing this fun blog with us.
